Today is Wednesday and the phones work fine now and we are all up and running. Now, we have an update on the classes - due to the weather mostly, we are starting the Practical Bookkeeping Classes one week later than originally planned. So, they start the week of the 19th. Please call as soon as possible to get enrolled!

The number to call for the free tax training that I mentioned earlier is 503-336-2670. Click here for the flyer. Please call Tina at Liberty Tax at 503-336-2670 for more information and to enroll. Space is limited. Class will be Jan 5th - 11th, with a choice of two classes, either 9-1p, or 5-9pm, as well as 9-5 Saturday and Sunday. There is no guarantee of hire but people with an aptitude for tax preparation and good customer service skills will be considered. Entry level pay will likely be minimum wage with a possible bonus for people who stay on through the tax season. This is a part-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to get their feet wet in the world of tax prep. If you are a past student of Elliott Bookkeeping School, be sure to let them know. Good Luck! Diane
Hi Everyone - the last Monday class is tentatively (I’m waiting to make sure that Pam is back in town pending travel by air) set for Dec 29th. Wednesday students, please call to schedule test time and to hand in final homework. If you cannot make it during business hours, we can schedule Tuesday evening, 6:30-7:30pm. If another time works for you, we are flexible, as the weather really threw our schedule off. We do need to get these finished though, as new classes will be starting in January, and we need to get you all graduated! Once again, please be patient with this new blog feature. Regarding the last Monday night class, it is tentatively scheduled now for Dec. 29th. Yes, you have until then to complete your homework, so you’ve gotten an extension!. The last test would be that night as well. Please be sure to check back, however. For Wed students, we will schedule you take your tests, possibly separately, without a final class. You also have an extension for completing your homework. This is all due to the weather, of course.
